The year-long debate about the BMW 6 Series being turned into the BMW 8 Series won’t end anytime soon. For some, BMW should have stuck with the current naming conventions. For others, the return of the much-liked BMW 8 Series monicker is the right way to go. Nonetheless, the current 6 Series – in its coupe and gran coupe form – is going away in history. In its place, BMW revealed a successor to the BMW 5 Series GT, which is now the BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo. Finally, the high-performance BMW Grand Tourers, the BMW 6 Series Coupe and Gran Coupe are now the 8 Series.
In a bid to wish the current high-performance version of the 6 Series farewell, ADV.1 Wheels released a rather fetching looking set of wheels for this Alpine White BMW F13 M6. Featuring a set of Rose Gold finished ADV10 Track Spec CS Series wheels, this BMW M6 will definitely turn heads anywhere it goes. While Rose Gold may not be everyone’s cup of tea, it’s currently a very popular product color for everything ranging from mobile phones, laptops all the way to wheels, it seems. For this build, ADV.1 chose to custom-build a set of three-piece forged wheels. While there’s nothing wrong with monoblock cast wheels, producing a set of wheels from three pieces allows for much more intricate designs, different diameter, and widths combinations, but also, a much stronger and lighter wheel.
For this M6 build, the wheel maker built wheels in sizes of 21×10 and 21×11.5 in the front and rear, respectively. Furthermore, the wheels feature an Exposed Hardware option, adding that intricate design touch. While some will argue that going with 21-inch wheels on the BMW M6 impacts its performance in a big way, the M6 is no slouch performance wise.
This particular high-performance machine from the Bavarian car maker comes with one of the best engines the company currently offers. The 4.4 liter BMW TwinPower Turbo V8 engine in the BMW M6 delivers 560 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque. By utilizing its Launch Control feature – letting your engine achieve maximum acceleration from a standing start – you can brandish every lb-ft right off the line, accelerating from 0 to 62mph (0-100km/h) in 4.3 seconds. And now, with a set of Rose Gold wheels, you won’t have any problems attracting attention anywhere you go.
